Director of Clinical Services – Executive Management TeamWhat is your role at New Victoria Hospital?
I’m the Director of Clinical Services and have the responsibility for the management and delivery of all the clinical services in the Hospital. These include: the Wards, Day Surgery Unit, Theatre, Outpatients, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Imaging. I am responsible for ensuring that all the clinical services are delivering care, operating to the highest standard, and adhering to regulatory compliance. I also work very closely with the Integrated Governance department and the Medical Director, and I am passionate about patient safety.
Why did you Join New Victoria Hospital?
I have been in nursing and clinical management roles for nearly 20 years, and I wanted the opportunity to work at one of the few remaining independent charity owned hospitals left in the Country, where I could make a real impact on the people and culture.
How long have you been with New Victoria Hospital?
I started with the Hospital in January 2024, having previously worked in other private hospitals in and around London, including St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, London Bridge Hospital, and St Georges NHS Trust. I have also recently worked in a Governance role at Aviva Health UK.
What is your favourite part of your job?
There are so many different parts to my job. I love the variety and all the unexpected challenges. However, the rewarding part is being able to make a difference and ensuring that the care is consistently delivered to the highest standard.
What makes you most proud of your job?
Working at a Hospital with very high patient, staff and Consultant satisfaction results.
