David Marshall
Chief Executive – Executive Management TeamWhat is your role at New Victoria Hospital?
I am the Chief Executive and, with the wonderful support of my Executive Management Team, I’m responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the Hospital and a successful implementation of the Hospital’s strategic plan. My role also includes promoting the Hospital in the community through media, personal presentations, and participation in key events, and to support Hospital growth and development by positively responding to the needs of patients, with a clear focus on community needs as a charitable organisation.
Why did you Join New Victoria Hospital?
I joined the Hospital because of its Values and Vision statement, all of which resonate with my own values and beliefs. In addition, it being an independent, charitable hospital meant that I could offer my services to the community, knowing that all the proceeds are reinvested into the Hospital for the betterment of patients and staff.
How long have you been with New Victoria Hospital?
I started with the Hospital in June 2018 having previously worked in other private healthcare hospitals in and around London for the last 17 years, including the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth and the Clementine Churchill Hospital.
What is your favourite part of your job?
All of it! It must be seeing how the excellent quality of care that we provide makes a positive difference to people’s lives.
What makes you most proud of your job?
That I am a custodian of this wonderful, 125-year-old Hospital, with such a rich history within the local areal.
