What is your role at New Victoria Hospital?

I am the Finance Director, where I am responsible for the financial management of the Hospital, and part of the Executive Management Team that drives business strategy.

I manage the Finance, Procurement, Business Analysis Unit and Self-Pay departments. Together, we provide a business partnering service to all departments within the Hospital, the Executive Management Team, and the Board. 

Why did you Join New Victoria Hospital?

I grew up in the area and have always been fascinated by the community-based approach the Hospital has. Being a charity which reinvests back into the community, I am excited to be part of this very unique Hospital, where I can hopefully add value from the experience I have gained from other hospitals I have worked in.

How long have you been with New Victoria Hospital?

I joined the Hospital in February 2020 and have been working within Healthcare Finance for 17 years, working in various private hospitals and at Group level.

What is your favourite part of your job?

I love the fact that the size of the organisation allows you to make a real difference. My favourite part of the job is being part of the Executive Management Team, reinvesting and working together on projects which intend to directly improve the patient experience and outcomes.

What makes you most proud of your job?

Being able to work at one of the few remaining charitable Hospitals in the country – this allows me to give back to the community I grew up in.
